Orcas Island Sailing is operated by Ben Booth and Tara Hubbard.  We both have a desire to teach others how to sail so they can share this wonderful sport with their families and friends.  Also, we both enjoy learning as much as we can from others so be forewarned, we'll be chatty!

    Owner Ben Booth started sailing in 1973 and has turned this sport into a lifestyle.  Ben lives aboard a 35' cutter with his wife, Christine, and their dog Schooner.  As a former middle school science teacher he easily relates to all ages.

    Tara Hubbard has been a boater all her life.  She was introduced to sailing in 1993.  She and her husband, Eric, own an Express 37.  Tara will join Ben in a teaching role in the 2008 season.  You'll find Tara to be patient and kind, the perfect combination for a teacher!
